On Vacation

I am on the deck of a little house in Hatteras, NC feeling the wonderful breeze after spending time on the beach of the Atlantic ocean. The children are sleeping and we are getting reading to have a bit of cake and coffee. This is the first time my wife and I have been back on this wonderful barrier island since our honeymoon five years ago.

I highly recommend to anyone this destination as a vacation spot. The people are friendly, the next door neighbor (year round resident) told us about a playground for the kids. I love it here. Tomorrow we are going to spend some time on the northern part of the island where the Wright brothers first flew, see the largest sand dune on the east coast… who knows what else.

Before the week is over we will go on the free ferry to Ocracoke island, another great place to spend some time. I like to ocean, but any beach that sports a boardwalk is way to crowded. I like to beaches here, you can find a spot that you can barely see the next group of people.

  1. Sounds great. Hey, I never got to say goodbye but thanks again for all the fantastic Advanced Math classes. I wish you the best in life wherever that might lead you.

  2. We are thinking of you on your vacation and glad to hear that you are enjoying yourselves. There is some humid, hot weather coming here – enjoy those ocean breezes!
